The Boys had a great time making Robots from bits & pieces found around the home

The Boys’ Club started on 10th September 2013,  and numbers have grown: week one, 5 boys: week two, 6 boys:  week three, 7 boys: with 8 registered in total.
Week 1 was an intro to Boys’ Club and the boys did various games with ‘midships’ proving a popular choice – like the Boys’ Brigade days! Games lasted for 25 minutes and then it was on to the learning session for 15 minutes. The boys completed a ‘getting to know you bear’. Where many questions were asked of the boys about siblings, food, favourite sports etc. Each question required a coloured part of the bear to be completed. Once complete, the boys compared their similarities and differences. Devotions came next, led by David, with a road sign demonstration related to life. Finally, it was time for biscuits and juice and a 10p mix. Everyone had fun and the boys were all really complimentary of the night.                                           The following week was a success too, hopefully, with many more to come!
Special Note: week 4:  11 boys had a great time together!

Boys' Club Report - November 2013
The Boys’ Club has 12 boys aged 4 - 8 years who regularly attend every Tuesday. The night is split up as follows: 20 mins Physical, 20 Mins learning/crafts,10 mins joining the Girls’ Brigade for Devotions and 10 mins for refreshments/general chat & discussion.
We have covered many different games and activities over the time the Club has been running and have been keen to find a happy medium where all boys are joining in and taking part, this has proved to be the case.
We always listen to the boys and take on board what they would like to do. The learning section has also looked at many themes which have included learning about items which will sink or float, making masks, painting, telling the time and a successful bonfire night which included fireworks. The aim is to make the evening fun and the feedback from the boys is positive regarding this.
