Junior Church Celebration
Sunday 9th June, was a day of Celebration at Darkhouse Baptist Church.
With Guests Mark Harrington and Roger Turley, leading the Service, we realised that reading God’s Word
and hearing about His love, can be fun!
From Roger’s ‘lamps of light’ to Mark’s rice jar and bubbles, with the ‘Spotty Soldier’ in-between, not forgetting the noise of crisp-munching tempered by Simon’s beautiful piano playing, the Service sped along and, all too soon,
it was 12 o’clock and time for Peter to call everyone to hold hands and join Junior Church in forming the Prayer Circle to say the Grace and end the Service by singing the Vesper.
A very big THANK YOU to Kathryn, Scarlet, Grace, Thomas, Joshua, Megan and Sam for the parts they played in the Service – and no-one dropped a collecting plate! – to Kim, Olive, Peter and Yvonne for taking part and organising,
to Mary (sound system), to Val (beautiful flower arranging) and Simon for his wonderful ‘Memories’.
Special THANK YOU to Mark (with support from Amy) and Roger for sharing their talents with us.
The theme of the Service began as “The Message is Magic” and ended as
“The Message, truly, is Magic”
