During the awful times caused by Covid-19, the community rallied round making wonderful donations           to the Food Bank. Below, May 2020, the cupboards were stocked with contributions from, amongst others,      Asda Sedgley store.
Clients are usually referred to Darkhouse Food Bank with a voucher, given by the local PCSO, social worker, CAB, benefits officer or the probation service. Referrals also come from schools, other Churches, hospitals, crisis centres and training agencies. The problems have often arisen from domestic abuse, theft, benefit delays (very common and a growing problem) or ill health, though there can be many more reasons for people experiencing hardship.
"Everyone is listened to and, wherever possible, we try to help."
