Day 3 – Wednesday
47 children arrived excited to be going somewhere different, with a visit to Coseley allotments on the schedule. We had lots of volunteers spread between groups of children to assist with walking to the local growing centre of Coseley. On arrival, in the summer sunshine, the children ate their picnic together before touring the site to see where fruit and vegetables come from. Every child had the opportunity to plant and bring home a souvenir flower, before walking to Darkhouse to meet their parents. We all had a lovely day with Happy children and leaders. Many thanks to the community of helpers at the Allotments.
